EIGHT STEPS OF A RATIONAL DECISION MAKING

You need to identify the problem like ineffective classroom management that you encounter problems with regards to students misbehaviour, dirty classroom ,uncoopretiveness of students and many more. 2. 1.Define or state the problem – As classroom teacher we experienced a lot of problems being classroom adviser example. You need to identify the problem like ineffective classroom management that you encounter problems with regards to students misbehaviour, dirty classroom ,uncoopretiveness of students and many more.

2. Analized the problem-List the causes of problem. Example is the students unwanted behaviour, noisy and talkative everytime  you are explaining the lesson. He is like that because he is sitting beside a talkative classmate, maybe lacks of interest because your presentation is not good that he is not motivated to listen and learn. Analize all the causes you have listed and think of a possible solutions to solve the problem.

3. Identify alternatives– List different solutions that you can apply in solving the problem. Example is to talk to him first and persuade him to refrain from being noisy. List several steps that you can do to solve the problem. If the first solution did not work out try the other solution you have listed.

4. Evaluate alternatives– From the steps or plans that you want to test if it will work out, which of that steps or solutions is the best. List at least three best solutions that you can use in solving the problem.

5. Apply or choose the best alternative– From the several  solutions you have listed choose the best that will help solve the problem, if you will apply not the best solutions you cannot at once expect that this solution will solve the problem and you still need to try for anothersolutions.

6. Develop an Action Plan– In your action plan state your objective, time, persons involve, strategies or steps and expected outcome.

7. Implement or execute the plan-You can only find out if all the solutions will solve the problem when you execute your action plan. Make sure that all the steps or strategies you have listed in your action plan will be strictly followed.

8. Evaluate the results – You can evaluate by categorizing the results, it is satisfactory, very satisfactory, or excellent? If the results is just satisfactory you still need to think of a much better solution or you still need an additional effort to get an excellent results.
