Every Filipino wants CHANGE. But what is change? And how this “ change “ be achieved? According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, change means to become different or to undergo transformation or transition. Change can be achieved by choosing the best leader in our country to help us in uplifting our social economic status , protect us from the evil roaming around the street , guide us to the right path and love us unconditionally like a parent to his children.
Last May 9, 2016,the national election was held. This was the time that every Filipino must exercise his right to vote. This was the time to choose the leader who will make a big ”CHANGE “ for the good of the people. According to COMELEC, fifty – four millions are registered voters in our country and at the end almost 99 % of them went to their respective precinct to vote. This is an indication that they were all eager to have a leader that will change this country for the betterment of the people.
The national election was done peacefully and after the cut-off time within two to three hours , the total number of votes for each candidates in each precinct from the presidential race down to the municipal councillors appeared automatically from the vote counting machine (VCM). Shouting from the supporters of the different political parties will be heard once the chairman of BEI announced the total number of votes. In every BATTLE, there is a winner and a looser.
This national election is a battle for a CHANGE. Battle in the sense that every candidate is seeking for a vote in order for him to win. And who will win in this battle, he will be the “one” whom every Juan is waiting for to make a big “ CHANGE” in this country. But the question is,” Is he really the one who can make a big CHANGE in this country?” Let us pray that this chosen “ one “ is the answer.
