A challenging yet an exciting era of education has come. Yes! We are now implementing the new world standard curriculum which is the K to 12 Program. Though, it’s a new program but we have to embrace it for it will raise the quality of education in our country.
K to 12 Program mandates compulsory Kindergarten education. Through it the child will be prepared before facing more challenges in the elementary grades, to junior high school, to senior high school even up to further studies. The strong foundation will be established if the child will have a quality preparatory education. That is what K to 12 Curriculum aims for.
The school administrators, the teachers, the learners and other stakeholders covered by K to 12 Program are accepting it for they believe that it will change the kind of education into something better. The idea of K to 12 Program will be instrumental in order for our graduates to be recognized all over the world that is why implementing it is truly worthy.
The new contents of the curriculum, the grading system, the training of teachers, the sub-courses and the instructional materials… all of these are made much innovative, creative, powerful, dynamic, comprehensive and intensified. It seems that the education goes with the flow of time. Exactly correct!
It is also very nice to know that K to 12 Program offers different tracks to senior high school. From academic to vocational technology courses, these are the trainings where our learners will be exposed to.
What is so exciting about K to 12 Program is that it gets the youth ready before college education. Moreover, they will be exposed to their respective skill preferences so that when they are decided about their college courses they are already equipped with them.
The Philippines is so lucky for finally the government fully implements the K to 12 standard. It is not only achieving quality education but it is also making the graduates be globally competitive and recognized.
Vast changes may happen but they are all for the good. The recent years served as transition periods but the fruits are eventually being seen. Embracing the new era of education is for the best and for the entire benefit of our country and its people.
Education makes big changes. Through these changes more developments and progress will be achieved. Embrace the new era of education under K to 12 Program.
