The world has gone far most especially in terms of technology. That is why the field of education is embracing it in order to yield a better education to our learners. It may be a parlance to say that technology is beneficial in the education of the child but in reality it really makes the process better.
In the recent years, technology dramatically changed the system in education. From the usual manual way, it was transformed into a more dynamic and innovative process.
Before, enrolling the child is just through a pen and paper means but today the computerization of the enrollment list altered the old system and became the Learners’ Information System or LIS.
Even the tracking of a child was speed up by means of the Learner Reference Number otherwise known as LRN. It would be easier to trace a child, his/her school, location and other information because of computerization.
Technology tremendously redefined the teacher’s activity. From simple lesson planning it was transformed into a much systematic Daily Lesson Log that is much convenient to the teachers.
Moreover, discussion could be more enticing and captivating because of the aid of computer. Well-designed power point lectures, multimedia presentations, interactive board and among others add color to the teaching- learning process.
The process of recording and computing the accomplishments and progress of the learners are made easier because of Excel and other software that would yield quick results.
The voluminous reports and forms being submitted in daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis are much easier, faster, economical and convenient because of the modern technology.
In addition, the reports on teacher’s progress are well-made and the concerns of the educational leaders are transmitted through modern websites.
It is undeniable that technology has changed the educational field in a much better state. Technology breaks the barrier brought by the traditional ways.
Come on…it’s about time to fully embrace technology for the progress in education.
