Looking back, flashes of my thoughts in my TIP
(Teachers’ Induction Program) years ago, I’ve gotten a better view of what the state is exactly expecting from me as a genuine teacher in my DepEd Family. It is clearly stipulated in our Code of Ethics being a lamp on our feet as a guide for us, to facilitate and provide equality education to the best of our knowledge and capacity.

Coupled with our greatest commitment to inculcate good values amongst our learners for their life application in any circumstance or trying times as the case maybe. For our role doesn’t confide alone to become supreme authoritarian in front of our learners discipline them, train them and educate them in practice of our role “en loco parentis”.

Ranking on the belief that dignity means respect for humanity. The very reasons why the cure of teachings consist of four basic values: dignity, truthfulness, fairness and responsibility and freedom. Bear in mind that all teachers is founded on ethics whether it be the teacher, student relationship, or a teacher’s relationship with their work.

Being ethical may mean:

  • Honesty in following good moral standards

  • Clean up yourself. It entails respect
  • Stay and focused on your tasks as a role model and implementation of rules
  • Lastly value yourself as a dignified personality regardless of your economic status in life.
