Teachers had transformed and changed for the better due to the needs of the learners and to demands of time. They evolved from simple teaching servants to dynamic facilitators. From simple educators, teachers at present are more vibrant than ever.
Personal qualities. The teachers of the new generation have greatly improved and augmented their personal qualities and became better individuals upholding admirable qualities which are exemplary to the society.
Professional aspirations. Teachers at present are no longer contented with bachelor’s degree instead they pursue further graduate studies like master’s degree courses and doctorate programs in prestigious and reputable universities.
Teaching Pedagogy. The teachers nowadays are updated on the trends of teaching. They really search for the latest and the most advanced way of teaching the schoolchildren. They keep on tracking for the latest methods, strategies and techniques and embarking on better means of educating the learners.
Human Relations. Presently, teachers are more exposed to the stakeholders and to a lot of people from all walks of life and in various sectors of society. They are more prone in creating goodwill or camaraderie with them.
Open Communication. Since human relation was developed by every teacher, open communication will follow. The teachers are very eager to communicate with the internal and external stakeholders for the welfare of the school in general.
Proactive Response. Teachers now are no longer reactive of suggestions and constructive criticisms. They are more open to ideas and make ways to improve themselves that is why they are being proactive.
Technically Skilled. Since it is the age of computer, the teachers are skilled in utilizing it. Also, they have lots of mechanisms and gadgets for teaching purposes.
Passion for the Job. Teachers now are more passionate and really put their innermost passion for teaching. They are more dedicated and willing to serve.
Highly Competitive. Teachers at present are highly competitive. Their abundant talents and exceptional skills make them more competitive and even stronger in winning competitions.
Values Oriented. The teachers of today exude values not only for oneself but the values which will be beneficial to all. They are more oriented with values which will help the majority succeed. These are being transferred to pupils for their benefits.
From these, we can say that teachers evolved and changed for the better.
