Each student in the new generation is being considered as a millennial. The good thing is that the present education offers not only digital learning but also numerous skills, competencies, techniques and strategies which are useful to the schoolchild as he or she grows and progresses. Moreover, educational innovations and programs flourished in the educational field for the sake of the Filipino learners. The most exceptional programs and innovations are as follows:
- Inculcating Outreach and Community-Oriented Programs and Activities among Learners.
It is not only that education is confined in the school. It is not being conducted outside as part of the culminating activities. Normally, the outreach programs and community-based programs are extended to the people in the community. It is helping the people most especially the indigent and minorities in order to discover their ways of living and trace their needs.
The school administrators, teachers and students are embarking in worthwhile activities like immersion, clean-up drive, feeding programs and gift giving not only to help but also to mingle with people and to know their concerns and sentiments.
The learners are exposed to these activities in order to practice their skills, talents and potentialities. It is also teaching them to be more responsible and to develop camaraderie with others.
- The shift to School-Based Management. The school-based management is
a big advantage not only to the school administrators but also to the entire school as well. Having practiced child-friendly activities in SBM may improve the quality of education for SBM organizes and arranges things for the children within the school community.
The school, being managed by the school principal with the principles of transparency, quality and good governance, is assuring better results for the learner’s benefits. SBM is an educational innovation not just for one’s sake but for the entire institution.
- The Introduction of Alternative Learning Systems (ALS) and TESDA programs
The Alternative Learning System (ALS) and TESDA are the ones giving hope to a lot of Filipino youth. ALS saves the future of those who stopped from studying for a long time while TESDA is developing the skills of the students.
Both of them are helping the students to have brighter futures. They are educating those who are already losing hope in their lives.
The above-mentioned educational programs and innovations are useful in contributing to the betterment of the Filipino students. Kudos! They are truly exceptional.
