School is an institution intended for the teaching-learning process to take place. It is the avenue for formal learning. And certainly, this fact will not be true as it has to be without a pool of teachers who are effective and efficient in each classroom – their learning base. Looking on to its antagonistic view, a school unequipped with a pool of adequately trained classroom teachers, operationally is not a school at all. Meaning to say, the success of the total vision and mission of a school depends on the teachers it contains. However, failure of attaining those vision and mission also relies greatly on them.
Teachers should go hand in hand with the school’s aims and goals that are commonly to be an educational institution recognized as a haven of quality education and graduates. They are greatly responsible in providing knowledge, acquisition of skills and even the characterization of a value system among the students. Once classroom teachers have played these vital roles in the lives of their students, once they have educated, mentored and nurtured the students and have become role models of satisfactory behavior as well as has played the role of providing an open and friendly learning environment in each class, they have successfully handed the successfully handed the success of the school. On the other hand, when the abovementioned tasks and responsibilities were not attained and were not taken into action by them, the school has failed to achieve its success.
Thus, schools place great faith in the importance of the classroom teachers as key to their either success or failure
