A teacher plays a key role in the society.  He/she is the model being imitated by people most especially by the young ones. So, it is only proper to enumerate those traits/features which make a teacher superlative.

A. Scholarly. A superlative teacher has an adequate reservoir of knowledge and fully knows the contents of the subjects which he/she has to teach.  He/she should be a person who knows a lot of ideas, notions, principles, theories and information.  It is because of his/her resourcefulness, further readings and studies that is why he/she became scholarly.

B. Clear in both oral and written communication. A superlative teacher is an excellent communicator, both in oral and written expressions. He/she emits words which are truly concise and specific.  Moreover, he/she gives clear instructions and directions most especially to the learners.

C. Confident.  A superlative teacher should be evidently confident.  He/she must be oozing with self-esteem which may show his/her great character and personality.  Though he/she is confident but the level won’t deviate from the standard of humility.

D. Ethical. A superlative teacher gives importance to ethics.  His/her actions are according to the norms or standards prescribed by the society.  He/she never fails to follow the rules and policies not only of the school but also of the country.

E. Open-minded. A superlative teacher has an open heart and mind.  He/she understands the nature of every person.  He/she listens to every sentiment or emotion.  He/she lends his/her ear to the people who are in need of advice or suggestion.

F. Excellent role model.  A superlative teacher is a genuine role model in the community. He/she does good actions which are really worth imitating.  His/her actions are admirable and because of these people consider him/her as an icon.

G. Has good personal hygiene and well-groomed.  A superlative teacher is always pleasing to be seen most especially in the way he/she dresses up. Also, the physical appearance should be very pleasant.

H. Well-disciplined. A superlative teacher is well-disciplined most especially on his/her actions and attitude.  He/she always follows the rules and abides with the policies.

I. Well-versed.  A superlative teacher should be flexible and can do a lot of things. He/she should be versatile in doing various tasks in the school.

J. Has a good sense of humor and with smiles.  A superlative teacher is the one who always possesses a sense of humor and who keeps a great smile. 

These are the traits which make a teacher truly superlative.
