4 become 1.
Four corners of the classroom, 4 blackboards, 4 bulletin boards, 4 rows of desks are some of the important tools used by a teacher to facilitate learning. But today in the new normal, this traditional way and kind of set-up in applying knowledge cannot be seen in teaching.
As we know, our world is in crisis and we are in a time where everything normal seems non-existent. The possibility in modern distance learning has been delivered via electronic means. Hence, teachers need to face new challenges using their 1 gadget or laptop.
Admittedly, education must continue amidst the pandemic situation. Learning should never stop even in these challenging times. Learning must continue in the new normal. Even the Department of Education has explored different modes of learning such as modular- based, blended and online distance learning to facilitate proper education. However, there are times, teachers need to be flexible in facing big giants in distance learning because of the difficulties in the delivery of quality of instruction, misuse of technology and proper communication. Teaching techniques, strategies, learning materials, and of course the internet connection are some of problems which the DepEd needs to take appropriate action to make children’s education possible.
It seems to be self-evident that more teachers must be trained when it comes to the proper use of distance learning technology. Educators’ advancement in technology can be a factor for effective education and the learners’ enhancement will depend on the practices and creativeness given by the well-informed instructors.
But still, teachers are standing to 1 goal because they believe that nothing is impossible, that everything imaginable is attainable if parents, pupils, teachers work together for one common goal. “Para sa Bata, Para sa Bayan”.
