Are you agree or dis-agree about the distribution of condom in
Secondary level/ High School in this coming next school year?
According to the Secretary of Department of Health (Philippines);
Sec. Paulyn Jean B. Ubial“ The Distribution of condom in
secondary level are to lessen case of HIV/ AIDS victims in the Philippines
and un-wanted pregnancy to the students as well” and her follow up
report, she said “ don’t blame our project, instead~ giving alternative
solution to decrease the number of early pregnancy and HIV/AIDS
cases in the country”.
Base on my survey (informal); some individuals are agreed in this statement of Sec. Paulyn Jean B. Ubial for the distribution of Condoms in secondary level, but Thiers a lot of individuals are not agreed about this plan of Department of Health (DOH).
Elevating sex education to the peak of intricacies, leading to contemplation of schools on providing condoms to students. Sex education has always been a hotly contested issue in our country. People have different opinions on this controversial matter. Thus, students are caught in crossfire of debate.
Advocators of condoms have created various arguments. These people believe that condoms are needed to prevent spread of Sexually Transmitted diseases.Making condoms available in schools increases the likelihood that sexually active students will use condoms, not the likelihood that they will have sex.
Making condoms available to public high school students is a frequently divisive topic, as it inevitably brings up the issue of teenage sexual activity. Those who oppose making condoms available to high school students frequently make their stand on this. Parents should be the one to decide if teens should have access to condoms. Legitimize sexual activity; hence, strongly has it sounded tolerance premarital sex among students.
