Education is the key to success. It is ones weapon in combating mediocrity, ignorance and poverty. It is for this reason that third world countries like the Philippines should focused in giving the best education that is free for everyone, so that it will develop its main resources in combating poverty – the people. Whether we like it or not, it is a work in progress but I feel the Division of Bataan through the joint efforts of its leaders spearheaded by Dr. Tarcila Javier, the Division of Bataan Superintendent, Bataan will become a forerunner in making its people, educated with the best education possible.
With the collaborative efforts of the people in the Division of Bataan, everyone in the academe has embraced the challenge of making the students learn everything that they will need for them to qualify in the international market once they graduate. There should be a total development of our graduates so they will be able to develop their skill to the fullest. They should be exposed to the best learning possible. Learning will give our students so much that they otherwise wouldn’t have if they will not be exposed to challenging and mind-boggling activities that will surely develop their skills.. Besides the obvious skills and facts that our students learn, they should also learn self-discipline and self-motivation, time management, social and communication skills and so much more.
Moreover, we should also help our students to gain self-confidence and self-esteem through varied tasks. We should anchor this to the Hierarchy of Needs, so it will better develop our students’ potentials and capabilities. Let us always bear in mind that being educated is shown to increase people’s sense of self-worth, life satisfaction and overall happiness, so ultimately being a well-rounded person with lots of potential of happiness is a major outcome of education. This development in itself increases the chances of our students in life and their potential to do the things the way they want to do it.
Furthermore, social skills gained by the students from teachers like us in the classroom, allow them to form good relationships, and all of the other skills they eventually developed through the many activities and strategies they were exposed in the classroom setting will definitely help them when it comes to getting a job. Let us make our students educated and not just learned individuals through lessons and activities that will eventually help them apply in their lives as citizens of our nation. Let us remember that, educated people are also less likely to go to prison, because they will be able to provide for their families without crime and are less likely to be violent as they can communicate better with language.
Lastly, getting a good high school education also improves the chances of our students in the province of Bataan to qualify to college education. This further study adds so many different skills to their arsenal that employment prospects and earning potential become better again. Whatever level someone has studied to though, a good education will get them further than someone with little or no education.
In conclusion, the training that we will give our students coupled with the desired marketable skills that they have gained from us, will make them win the challenges that they will be facing in this very ardent world and society. Let us make education in the province of Bataan regardless of status of school good education that is a must for every student to enjoy and to have.
