Homework is a part of the teaching-learning process. The last part of the teaching-learning process is the giving of homework on assignment.
Homework is a part of a pupil’s life from kindergarten to the graduate school. Some pupils welcome this activity as an additional avenue to learn. However, have you noticed that most pupils have a negative attitude in terms of accomplishing homework? A teacher can help much in making homework easy for pupils.
A teacher who gives homework should have a clear purpose why such an activity is given. It will give the teacher an idea what type of homework he will ask the pupils to do on the part of the pupils, it will give him a purpose why he should accomplish the homework.
Homework requires the pupils to apply many different skills to a single task. For example, pupils asked to make book reports, science projects, creative writing, interviews, book of life and the like. The challenge therefore is that, the teacher should give varied types of homework at different days.
Homework can have many benefits for school children. In can improve the retention of the lessons learned and understanding of school work. The teacher who gives the homework will play a big role whether these activities will be enthusiastically accomplished or not.
