Thus, philosophers and applied linguists refer to it as the art of understanding oneself. It is an art because it brings out an idea of a self-analytical skill which can be acquired by observation, experience, and formal study, More precisely, hermeneutics is the art of understanding our self: the elusive self, the unique self, and the many selves concept in us. It is also a  

method of doings elf analysis of ones worth and merit.
