Educating the child does only mean that you teach knowledge and skills but it requires molding and shaping all his aspects for him/her to be a better individual.  It is the great responsibility of teachers to assist the child to reach and further enhance his holistic development.

.

Intellectual Aspect.  The child needs to cultivate and develop his/her mental power or ability.  This can be done if the teachers will educate him/her with the basic knowledge and eventually leads him/her to higher forms of acquisition and thinking.  At best, the child would grow intellectually if he/she has the personal perseverance in reaching its pinnacle or peak.

Affective Aspect. The child is at first unstable in terms of emotion.  The teacher is an agent who will aid him/herself attain acceptance, security and emotional stability.  A child who is filled with love, care and understanding at home and in school would grow well and be a better person. Furthermore, the teacher must expose the child to various learning situations and experiences that will shape his/her emotional maturity in facing his/her real self, in mingling with others and in dealing the world challenges.

Psychomotor Aspect. A child must have proper behavior and strong resistance against physical challenges and trials.  It is necessary that the teachers in school must instruct him/her well to execute proper actions and movements.  Whether ordinary daily physical activity to more difficult survival, the child must have strength and correct disposition in terms of deeds or actions.

Spiritual Aspect.  Being closer to God and having clean spirit are essential to the holistic development of the child.  He/she must be taught with the significance of the Divine Providence.  He/she must be well-guided of the importance of good heart and soul.  In addition, this will further strengthen his/her faith to God Almighty.

Moral Aspect.  Having acquired the core values of a real individual would be beneficial to the child.  Teach him to do what is good and to avoid what is evil would help him/her develop a moral life with good thinking and action.

Teacher must stress these aspects in order for the child to achieve his holistic development and be a productive and a better person.

So, it is expected that the school particularly the teacher will serve as the guide of the learner in the attainment of this worthwhile development.
