As cliché as it may sound, but it’s true, the teaching profession is a noble job. A job that only courageous people will enter. It’s more than anything in this world. To be the second mother of my students is never be an easy task.
I have dreamt to become an educator since I was a young lass, standing in front of a classroom and sharing my knowledge to the young generation. When I entered college, I decided to follow my dream and it felt like the dream was turning into a reality, little by little, step by step. When I finally got my license as a Bonafede teacher, I told myself, “This is it! However, was I ready to enter another chapter of my life? Dedicating myself to my students and sharing my everything in the best possible way that I could.
As time passed by, I got matured as an educator. I’ve learned that it is not only about teaching the children lessons that need to be learned. It is more than that, more than the knowledge. It is about how you would mold them to become the better version of themselves even at a very young age. To push themselves to start building their own dreams, to be positive towards life, to be a person of purpose, to be grateful and to never lose hope whatever the situation of life they may encounter are the things that I want my students to acquire from me.
I wanted to become one of their inspirations, as a person who they can look up to. Someone that they can run to. I want to instill into their young minds that even though everyone may start from scratch, I will always have high hopes that someday, somehow, they will be the person that they want to become. With that, I can say that my life as a teacher will be fulfilling because I know I contributed something to their lives to make them better. I will always be thankful and glad that there was a time in their lives that i had been a part of them and left footprints on their journey towards greatness.
