Itshas been said and proven that teaching is the noblest profession. But sad to say, the vacation chosen by those who believe In this nobility has been regarded as a mere occupation. Be that as it may, a teacher needs to be effective to meet the expectations of the people.
Teaching entails a lot of responsibilities. Foremost, people see teachers as a manifestation of what is good and perfect. Great expectation! Nonetheless, teachers can only be gauge by how they are able to mold the young minds and be an effective tool of change in an individual.
To be an effective teacher, one should be a purveyor of positive values. As they say, the teacher is the best visual aid in teaching. Once a teachers stands in front of the class, she should exude all things positive within. That image rubs on the students. No amount of modern and technologically – advanced visual aids can match the very positive image of a teacher who affects the learning capacity of the students.
To be an effective teacher, one should be passionate To be an effective teacher, one should be passionate and emotional. The attachment between a teacher and the students cannot be discounted. Students feel the real concern of the teacher not on the volume of lessons studied, but on the concern of the teacher on their welfare. No profession and able to influence the students because of her caring ways.
To be an effective teacher, one should give more than enough time to the needs of the students. If there is an need to extend time the students, do it. Who knows, that extra time spent with them can make a big difference in their quest for the truth.
In facing the challenges of the profession, one need not only be academically prepared. What is more important is to be effective and gain positive results because of what has given to the students to ensure their success.
