1. Learning is sometimes compared to eating. This suggests that the teacher must use the most desirable method available to effectuate the learning. Every subject matter has a corresponding method or procedure of presentation by which it could be absorbed considerably by the pupil’s thinking and desire to learn.

2. Effective teaching is efficiently imparting usable knowledge in the development of wholesome attitudes, habits and skills. Anyone can teach but not all are effective. Effectiveness can be attained by constantly striving to enhance one’s methods and techniques and deep concern for the job.

3. To generate fast and more effective learning, individual differences among pupils should be weighed and considered at the very start. Each pupil has his own needs due to mental ability, social adaptation, sex, economic status, moral standards, attitudes, maturity level, and physical growth. A word of praise on a job well-done is also a key factor to ignite the learning fire on a pupil. Remember that each child has a different stimulus for learning

4. To be an effective teacher, one must enjoy the teaching enterprise, all the challenges and crisis that the job has to meet. If you cannot find self-satisfaction in the development and progress of your learners, then teaching is not the right career for you. Granting that his profession is not the best paid job but the satisfaction of being a part of the success of your learners is enough guarantees to be proud of. Strive then to love your job and cultivate attributes, dedication, loyalty, and self-motivation. Put your “best” into the job and you’ll be merited.

5. A teacher can be realize effectiveness if he sincerely gears positive attitude and interest toward the teaching-learning process. He considers his learners   as the best resource for teaching outputs. He directs his pupil’s attitudes toward learning to achieve an effective learning situation. He creates a good atmosphere of classroom discipline and motivation.

6. An effective teacher is always prepared for the day’s schedule of works. He has alternative plans arranged for unexpected situations. The grassroots of successful teaching is logical planning and preparation which readily intensify pupil’s interest in the subject and involvement in the process.

7. And as teacher, you should gain the respect your pupils. In gaining respect from them, you must first learn respect them: their rights and prerogatives, their idiosyncrasies and development levels. You must exhibit the type of attitude, honesty, moral character, self-confidence, faith, and interest that you expect from them. Practice what you usually preach. Live a life that is worth the credible example for the growing and developing learners in your jurisdiction.
