EFFECTIVE teachers can be evaluated accordingly to the self-fulfillment in the performance of duties in classroom and also in paper works such as preparing and submitting reports on time. To be effective in all aspects of teaching is also to become SUCCESSFULL and SATISFIED TEACHER. Some people measured success by the tangible accomplishments; still, there are some that give emphasis on standards on attitude and values. Below are some of the virtues and guides that may be of help in individual to succeed.
- Know Yourself. This on goes with ‘individual differences’. One must know his / her skills, interest, talent and abilities. Find to develop those to the fullest. Accepting your own weaknesses will help you overcome it. Point of satisfaction must be identified and be able to manage dissatisfaction carefully.
- Develop Self-Tolerance. Not all provocations are entertained. Select the most pressing issue and face it squarely and professionally. Learn how to tolerate things that are not essential to your teaching.
- Be Optimistic. Accept your own mistake. Treat this as your guiding star to shine. Failure is the best reason to stand and go. Mistakes and failures are just flavors before enjoying a more meaningful life.
- Upgrade Yourself. Nobody could really help you. There may be friends and colleagues who are willing to assist but the final move starts from you.
- Always
- Analyze your work Load. Work tensions result to negative reaction. Too much work pressure leads to boredom. Be sure to observe balance between your social and professional life.
- Be Innovative. Refrain from routine activities. Students may not be interested to the same old style, welcome changes, develop changes and think of changes.
- Talk to People. Some people might inspire you. Try to share your problems. These problems that bothered you may be treated simpler by others. Learn from them.
- Have A Helping Hand. The real happy person is the one who have sincerely extended his/her hands to others. Think of the crab mentality, the positive way. Instead of pushing them down, why not pull them up?
- Welcome Criticism. Nobody is perfect in this world. The only way to improve is to accept criticism and be able to overcome it.
The tips above will surely help you to become a better person… a better teacher.
If you have tried these things and found yourself to be bored, then this the right time for you to withdraw from this profession.
