It is unbelievable to realize that we are still in pandemic for over a year now. We don’t get along with our regular routine and it seems like our normal life has been robbed. It is undeniably stressful that our life has changed in just a nick of time.

During this sudden change in our lives, we cannot help ourselves to undergo stress and anxiety especially when our job dominates our life due to work from home. But how do we deal with stress and anxiety in teaching during this hardest time? Here are some of the tips:

  • Make a List

Having a list of things to be done gives us consciousness of our priorities. It helps us to free our mind to worry about untangled thoughts to which task to do on a particular day or week. This will set us free from worry somehow.

  • Give Yourself a Break

Taking a break even you are just at home to relax, eat, and watch a bit of your favorite show on Netflix is very important currently to relieve yourself from the toxicity of your job. Working from home doesn’t mean that you will deprive yourself from doing such. Have a life outside work.

Your job does not end when you are a teacher. But according to Dr. Walker that it’s important to practice disconnecting from work after work hours are over. Take away your worries with work related matters when office hours are over.

  • Give yourself comfort and pleasure.

Do not withdraw yourself from fun activities even you are just at the comfort of your home. Remember that you have still a life outside your work. Mingle with your family members and make the most out of it. Learn to share stories or experiences and make them as your outlet to release the heavy baggage within you.
