Students who were born from 1980-2000 are considered millennials. This digital generation has different mind setting and habits of learning. We teachers of today need to adjust to them in terms of how they can understand us, how they can pick up the lessons easily, how can we get their attention and how can we achieve our goal for our subjects. As I am belong to this generation of 1980s because I was born in 1984, I am one of the teachers who are teaching millennial students, and so I would say it is easier for me to teach them, to go along with them and to reach out to them. Millennial students as being digital generation use mostly the technology, so as their teacher; I have to let them learn through technology. Letting them use the internet, google, do research, work with peers, they are able to learn from doing, from working on their own and not by spoon feeding. These students can learn more in a more relaxed setting. Their minds work and ideas come out when they are not forced. We as teachers should be more flexible, should give the rules which are understood and fair to everybody for them to follow well. With a good relationship, with personal connection to each of the students, when they see that you are sincere to your interest for them to grow and learn more, I would say they positively react and give their best.
