In our schools, we have bully classmates. We are scared of them and we are also afraid of making them our friends. These bullies are definitely taller than us and they have such strong voice that makes us tremble. Making a bully into a friend is not that easy. That person might misunderstand our actions. He or she might shout at us or laugh at us so we will look ridiculous in the eyes of our classmates.
Making a bully into a friend can be a great challenge for us. There’s no harm in trying to transform a bully into a friend. Well…….maybe there is chance for some form of bodily harm……..but that shouldn’t stop us from trying.
First don’t tease the bully. Don’t be a bully to a bully. Keep a distance and avoid having a quarrel with him/her.
Second, don’t show that you are scared. Bullies feel happy and challenged when they see that the person is afraid of them. The more afraid you are, the more they will love to bully you.
Third, be good to the bully. In that case, he or she will remember your kindness and your thoughtfulness before he or she thinks of giving you a punch on the face.
Fourth, talk to him when the situation calls for it. Be there when he or she needs an assistance in his/her homework; get him/her as a member of your group (since nobody likes bullies, anyway) or talk about an interesting hobby or topic that interests you both like basketball, computer games, fashion, and the like.
So, in a few more weeks, you may have turned a bully into a friend. Then life in the classroom will never be the same again.
