  1. 1.Adjust expectations based on students needs.
  2. 2.Break tasks or assignments into sections. Make them shorter.
  3. 3.Provide alternative assignments instead of long written assignments.
  4. 4.Show a model of end product.
  5. 5.Give written and verbal direction with visuals if possible.
  6. 6.Break extensive assignments into small sequential steps. Monitor each step.
  7. 7.Emphasize to capture student attention to main points within the written direction of the assignment..
  8. 8.Make sure that all homework tasks are written correctly in some kind of a homework book. Sign it and have parents sign it too.
  9. 9.Number and order steps in an assignment.
  10. 10.Give outlines, study guides, and copies of overhead notes.
  11. 11.Make sure to clarify learning expectations to the student before starting a lesson.
  12. 12.Ascertain you have the students’ attention before starting a lesson.

  7. 7.Modify percentage of work needed for passing grade.
  8. 8.Allow retaking the test.
  9. 9.Allow monitored breaks from test.
