Education is more than an academic exercise. When we teach, it goes beyond the four corners of the classroom. When do not end the task when the bell rings. When we teach, we reflect on the entire life of the pupils. We transform the lives of the pupils by moving them forward.
And how is transformation achieved? Through these three basic factors;
a. Through Pressure. Not too much, but not too little. We need to pressure the
pupils so that they can act accordingly. We cannot compel them to move
forward if we will not exert pressure on them. This pressure becomes the
needed push for them to aim higher and strive to reach that aim.
b. With Passion. Pressure alone cannot make them strive higher. There is a need
to show them passion and make them feel our presence in everything they
do. Let us endeavor to drive our pupils to find significance in everything they
do by complimenting their achievements. This will motivate them to face up
to the challenges of the trying times.
c. For Purpose. Let us show our pupils why we labor so much for them. Make
them understand the real purpose why we have to toil for other people.
Moving them further than they think will open more avenues for success.
Have the heart to direct them to something much bigger than what they see.
The transformation of a pupil becomes the crowning glory of a teacher who is always more than willing to provide what is best for the pupils. And whatever the pupils achieve, part of it is because of the teacher who transformed him into a worthwhile individual with a clear purpose in life.
