To be dumb is to be happy.

Career, money, travel, fame and degree- these are the mundane things that describe success.  If you miss one it seems that you miss half of your life.  People are people. They always want to achieve success on how they perceive it to be. People desire to be the first in line before the other. They think it makes them a superstar. But beyond the lines of the seven-letter word success, is an unlinked nine-letter word, “happiness”.  Personally, I have met folks who have completed and achieved so much more in life. I looked up to them with a “wow” but confessed they ended up being unhappy. What is the reason? Well, I guess it is being “too” smart and far-reaching. You see, life is never meant to hold all those measures of success. It is a major lie that most of us accept as true as it is.  What good is it to possess all those titles and to know all those relatives, colleagues and friends of yours admiring you, but at the end of the day before your sleep, you feel discombobulated and empty?

According to studies, logical people tend to be disgruntled with their lives because they overthink things happening to them. They keep thriving for a different type of success sinked in to them. Working and working and working…. Day and night… These stress people out.

We know some celebrities, professionals, even politicians who are protuberant to be intellectuals yet commit suicide because of depression. If we will analyze their lives, they have everything humans long to have. But why did they end their lives miserably? It is for the reason that “they are too smart and too successful”.

With that,in this life of mine which I can spend only once I want to be dumb. – to be dumb for me is to be happy. Dumb NOT to yearn to outsmart my co-workers, dumb NOT to LOVE unconditionally without  waiting for something to be returned to me, dumb NOT to LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND the people around me, dumb NOT to put COMPASSION to needy ones. Yes people, I may be dumb, but I am  GENUINELY JOYFUL.

Do you want to be dumb?
