This school year, most schools effectively and purposely maximized the use of ICT in teaching and non-teaching related works. As we continuously embracing the changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic the school head, teachers, parents and learners exhibited an exemplary manifestation of positive manipulation of ICT through various works and activities accomplished such as the creation of schools’ learning management systems via google drive, production of educational learning videos, self-learning modules, learning activity sheets, video contest pieces, online survey, and many more. The development of different learning modalities including the Online Distance Learning or ODL seems to be the highlights of this academic year wherein the impossible becomes possible in the Philippine Basic Education settings whose bravely assisted by our teachers and parents.
Our never-ending battle against COVID doesn’t just give us failures moreover it gave us a challenge worth fighting for. It is transforming our limited capabilities in the online world into a magnificent school year-end welcoming a promising next school year. Our teachers outshine on their shells through video lesson making using different applications like google meet, zoom, kinemaster, filmora and many more. Majority of our teachers became writers, layout artists, and illustrators using photoshop, InDesign and publisher. All of these encompass the hidden passions of our teachers which were discovered and developed within this year.
In addition, countless exploratory activities online were utilized to become part of the meaningful application of learning which opened a wider learning opportunity both the teaching personnel and especially our learners. Despite that in any undertaking struggles are real but the success lies in the dedication and perseverance of the key stakeholders of any organization.
