The introduction of K to 12 Program has brought constructive changes to the Philippine education. It redefines the curriculum in order to further improve the quality of standards, the quality of instructions and eventually the quality of graduates in the future. K to 12 Programs brings a promising scenario to our educational clientele as well as for the country.
The others may have skeptical thinking on the new curriculum but the truth is that the government particularly the Department of Education is implementing it for the best. In K to 12 Program, we are not only honing our learner to be productive not only for himself and for locality but also as a global and competitive citizen as well. Indeed, K to 12 alleviates the condition of our educational system to better heights. We might never know it but K to 12 has a great result someday.
On the part of the educational managers, K to 12 may be a big responsibility but they have to bear in mind that the vision, mission, goals and objectives of K to 12 will work for the betterment of the youth and of the entire nation as well. The huge task may be heavy but the fruit would be very satisfying. Remember, most of the progressive countries in the world adopted and still employing K to 12 Program as the springboard of their educational system.
On the part of the learners, it seems that additional years would be a burden. Actually, in reality it is not. The compulsory universal kindergarten and the additional two years in the secondary level are instrumental in creating a strong foundation for the learners.
On the part of the parents, their long hard work may said to be lengthened but they should think in a positive way that their children are being well-shaped, well-molded and well-equipped to be enhanced graduates and citizens. It was shown from various reports in other countries that the graduates of K to 12 Program are far better and of high quality.
On the part of the stakeholders, don’t think that K to 12 Program would delay the education of the child. It is actually a more systematic and focal process that further improves that totality of the child. It will serve as an excellent training ground in order to be a world class individual and apparently to be a world class worker someday in his or her chosen field of specialization in the later part of the curriculum.
K to 12 Program yielded big, positive and innovative impacts that changed Philippine education. It is here to stay in order to transform the Filipino learners into more fruitful and dynamic individuals of the current generation.
