Numerous researches have been done to conclude that parents who are involved with their children’s education are building the foundations for a better educated child. These parents are sending a message to their children that education is important.

Parental involvement is important because parents who are part of their children’s education will understand the importance of reading, writing, and arithmetic (3R’s). These parents will make sure that their children are practicing and developing the 3R’s throughout the educational process.

Equally important, is the fact that parents who are involved with their children’s education will make sure their home is conducive to learning. This means that the home will have plenty of educational materials. Part of setting up a home conducive for learning, also includes regulated TV viewing time and access to computer and internet. Some parents will even make sure that children’s homework is done at the same time regularly and if there is no homework the parent will produce some items themselves.

And the most important reason parents should be involved with their children’s education, is because any kind of educational deficiencies can be notice quickly and administered remediation promptly. This can help parents to work with the weaknesses of their children as soon as possible.
