Mobility is a central goal of strike rehabilitation and matter greatly in daily life. Helping patients with tasks will reduce their frustration and risk of failure.

Proper positioning and support are crucial, begin with establishing proper body alignment for the performance of activities of daily living. The use of cushions and other support devices can help patients, who otherwise have difficulty in achieving good postural alignment in a chair or wheelchair.

Patient and family education are essential for success and will help ensure that patterns of movement are established and reinforced to improve motor control, strength  and endurance.
