Some students seem to find difficulty in their studies due to various reasons. But this situation can be resolved by the teacher through considering the following tips:
Teach first the basics. It would be easier for the student to improve learning if he/she knows the basic ideas. It would be light for him/her to go on with further steps if the rudiments of learning are first taught.
Teach in a simple way. As a teacher, you don’t have to make things complicated, complex or difficult. Citing simple ideas, notions or examples is much better and convenient in order to improve student learning.
Teach with quality.A teacher must teach very well and even to the fullest for the students will realize his/her worth as an educator.
Be personal and individual. It means that you have to address individual differences. It also connotes that you have to apply the proper approach to a particular student.
Be kind and approachable. A teacher must be a person to rely on. He/she would be easily approached by the students most especially if confusions or difficulties arise.
Apply various techniques and strategies in teaching. Having a variety of techniques and strategies can transform the classroom interaction as active and dynamic. To be able to make the class inviting and stimulating, teachers must be able to use various styles in educating the students.
Make use of technology. Students at present are adept and interested in technology. If a teacher will maximize its use in the class, there is no reason why students will not learn the lesson. Technology can animate the teaching –learning process thus improving student learning.
Encourage collaborative learning. Students learn best if they know how to share and listen to others most especially to their peers. The students would like to work with a group and tell what they know.
Tell the practical value of learning. The students will learn to appreciate studies if they will know their essence and practicality.
