A child can shine and be a star in his learning success and his academic growth when he is being noticed. Recording and documenting growth in his academic performance will give him a big push forward, for continued growth and success in school.

            Teacher need to become been observes and data collectors. They can observe their pupils in five target areas that can quickly provide valuable information about a student’s progress. Even of teacher do not have time to keep a count or tally for data purpose, simply becoming observer can give them insight and information into a student’s progress.

            Attendance is a good starting point. If his absences are getting lesser, then he is in the right direction. Active participation can be a good sign that the pupils is getting interested and curious about learning. Attentiveness is a key area because paying attention means the pupil in staying on task.

            Negative social interaction can hinder success. Pupils should interact positively with peers or adults but sometimes a child can be “makulit” when getting persistent in interactively with adults. Keep a tab on how pupils misbehave inside and outside the classroom. Look for an indicator of decline or decrease in comminuting of misbehavior.
