` The ability to use the multimedia is considered nowadays to be almost indispensable for survival for students especially in Science subject. The value of technology to help them identify important problems, gather & evaluate relevant information from important networks, use this information to resolve central issues, & clearly communicate solutions to others lieu as cited by Oceania (2007)
The students to be able to cope up with the dramatic and relevant changes in the study of science must be equipped with multimedia literary skills. Multimedia today are very useful for diversified learning in the classroom in supporting more the student-centered learning, one teaching styles to be cultivated more for teaching-learning approaches. This requires teacher to give more activities using technology, whether as springboard, motivation or in the lesson proper.
By means of multimedia, science teachers can upgrade their teaching. Current multimedia are needed by teachers for their upgrading of knowledge& technology know for students’ cognitive development. As students participate in social, collaborative & cooperative environment, the teachers themselves get engaged, learn along with their students.
The integration of science & multimedia purposeful, meaningful and promotes collaboration among students and teachers, and this is more emphasize through the use of technology.
Students develop their research and study skills through the multimedia projects that use through searching in the World Wide Web as a source of information on the Internet. Through this, they can access information on a variety of topics & projects, Google, Yahoo, Alta Vista, Info seek, E blast are some of the Search Engines that students and teachers can avail.
