There are a lot of things the modern age brought, some better than the other or some worse. But one of the ‘greater’ innovations of the high-tech age is the invention of the portable projectors.

Projectors are around for quite some time now. If you wonder why those pirated CDs you buy have shadows going back and forth of the screen, well it is because cinema screens are not LCD or even plasma screens. The next time you go into a cinema look at the back and see the bright light coming from the upper wall; that is a projector which projects the movie to the big white screen. But those projectors are huge and heavy.

After that although projectors are used in class set up, it was way too expensive and only high class university and schools can afford. But now at the 21st century the technology gave birth to the smaller and more portable LCD projectors.

Seems a bit over justification for such small tech? Well, projectors are the closest to visual education that there is since schools can’t afford the 1-is-to-1 computer ratio. Using this technology teachesr can introduce a more realistic discussions and explanations to the topics and lessons. The students don’t just speculate about the visualizations. It is also more interactive than the ‘manila paper’ method. Using projectors, teachers can play videos and flash photos of the examples, this intern excites the students and allure them to listen.

Studies showed that there are many different types of learners that can comprise a class, but those can be generalized into two categories: the ‘extrovert’ and the ‘introvert’. Extroverts are learners that learn better with the help of external stimuli, such as; visual, sounds and actual inter action, while Introvert learners are the student that do well by themselves, these are the more reserved kinds of student who prefer studying in a quite less invasive environment. But comparing the former to the latter the extrovert students mostly are the dominant percentage. And by using visual presentations the learning capacity of the student that are ‘extrovert’ in nature are enhanced and nurtured.

The advances of the technology can be rather degrading most of the time, it teaches people to be lazy and takes the ‘hard’ in hard work, but that should not always be the case. As professionals, teachers should find the better purpose of technology and use it to ensure the learning of students.

Because always remember that sometimes, even the Heroes and Heroines needs a bit of help, that is where technology comes in.
