Making your classroom conducive for learning is one thing but making it fun learning in the classroom is a different story.
Since the most common management technique at home and even in school is “nagging” is it also possibly the least effective.
The question is how to avoid this technique and make learning more fun?
Here are some steps I use to make the learning more fun in the classroom.
- 1.Develop activities that will keep the students interested.
- 2.Be consistent.
- 3.Don’t talk too much. Make use of visual materials, let the students comprehend.
- 4.Have at least 3 segments in your class period and make sure that each activity connects smoothly to the next one.
- 5.Don’t roll call. Do it on your seat plan whilst the students are working.
- 6.Make sure that all of you students take part on the discussion. There are students that are active than the rest but never get tired of motivating your other students.
- 7.If someone needs to be disciplined make sure that you do it in private. Never call out across the room make it quietly and according to your students need.
- 8.Keep your sense of humor with all the time. It will make the day less stressful and make the entire task easily.
- 9.Innovate.
- 10.Know when to ask for help. Don’t be afraid to ask you co-teacher or your principal on how to make your classroom more fun for learning.
