Last May 30,2016 at exactly 7:00 in the morning , the JEAGMHS faculty and staff together with the PTA officers, parents of the beneficiaries of 4P’s , students , the Bureau of Fire Protection and other stakeholders joined the parade for the opening of the BrigadaEskwela . The aim of this parade is to encourage the nearby neighborhood of the school to join and participate to the program of the Department of Education which is the BrigadaEskwela. The theme of this year’s program is “TayonasaPaaralangLigtas, Maayos at Handamulasa Kindergarten hanggang Senior High School”.
This program of the Department of Education was done nationwide. Its purpose is to prepare the school specifically the classrooms for the opening of classes this coming June 13. The said event started May 30 until June 4 and it was done for almost six days. The parade started from St. Michael Subdivision going to Sta. Ana , Mel-Luz and then finally to the JEAGMHS .
After the parade, a short opening program was done to officially open the said event. Two teachers from the Filipino Department served as the emcee. A short message was given by our principal to welcome the participants of the BrigadaEskwela. Each group of participants was given a chance to introduce their groups by creating a tag line to easily identify them as a sort of roll call. The program ended when the head teacher of the TLE Department gave the assigned area to be cleaned by each group.
On the following days, the teachers, students and some volunteers do their part by cleaning the rooms, fixing broken chairs and windows and repainting of classrooms and buildings based on the color approved by the Department of Education. Each advisers really did their jobs to prepare the classroom for the safety and welfare of the students this coming June 13.
On the last day of the event, a seminar was conducted in which three members of the Bureau of Fire Protection served as the speaker to educate the faculty and staff on what to do in case an accident will happen. Each teacher was given a chance to operate the fire extinguisher and fire hose to burnt- out the fire. A noticeable excitement was seen in each faces of the participants after performing the simple activity prepared by the firemen. At the end of the 6th day of BrigadaEskwela, all the facilities of the school are now ready for the opening of classes this coming June 13,2016.
