  1. To provide outstanding teaching and learning of Food Technology
  2. To secure high attainment of students.
  3. To collaborate effectively with colleagues to design and deliver an engaging curriculum.
  4. Provide a safe, nurturing classroom and school environment that helps students to develop as
  5. Consistently plan, resource and deliver lessons that allow stimulating and enjoyable learning
  6. Ensure that all students are given quality feedback in order to make rapid and sustained
  7. Contribute to the development of sound literacy skills for all students.
  8. Help to maintain/establish excellent standards of behavior for learning across the academy.

Teaching and Learning

  • In discussion with the Director of Learning, plan and prepare engaging lessons based on agreed
  • Teach engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and improve student attainment
  • Use regular assessments to monitor progress and set targets and determine appropriate
  • Ensure that all students achieve at chronological age level or, if well below level, make
  • Maintain regular and productive communication with parents, to report on progress,
  • Maintain accurate student data that can be used to make teaching more effective
  • In conjunction with the Department Head, identify the intervention needs of students and
  • Help create a strong school community reflective of our key values of excellence, endeavor
  • Develop a culture that is committed to high achievement and where the learning of students
  • Work with students, staff and parents to promote consistently excellent behavior for
  • Undertake other responsibilities as directed by the Head of Department
