Executive heads, teachers, and parents of the whole province of South Cotabato pledged that they will fully support the implementation of the K to 12 Program. They have signed a manifesto as a way to commit themselves to the new curriculum.
Albert Palencia, Mayor of Banga stated the full support of its municipal government in the effective implementation of the program. They will help find partners for the success of this endeavor. Palencia believes that what they put today will bear fruitful benefits in the future. He said that the Senior High School program is a solid ground to develop the skills of the future Filipino leaders.
Polomolok Municipality is offering free use of computers and the training area for the immersion program of the Polomolok National High School students taking the Technical-Vocational Track.
K to 12 will continue to face the challenges but the local government is supportive to the biggest education shift ever done in the country. Parents and municipal heads in South Cotabato believe that the program will improve the quality of graduates and contribute to the nation’s competitiveness. To them, the K to 12 Program is a significant element in the necessary education reform.
Recently, DepEd has helped launch the first Senior High School and the early implementation of Grade 11. The Tboli Senior High School has 45 students and lodged at Lake Sebu National High School. Tboli Senior High School offers the technical-vocational track which focused on Sustainable Community Resources Management. However, the students have two choices: Agriculture and Ecotourism.
