“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving”.- Albert Einstein
In this living world, any job requires workers’ knowledge, energy, and skills to perform it properly or else the company will fail. However, workers must not only stick to what they already know, and to whatever they already have most especially their superiors.
In school environment, teaching and non-teaching personnel headed by department heads/coordinators and principals on top of it are the workers responsible in the proper delivery of K-12 curriculum in the country. As workers, teachers must not be contented to what knowledge and skills we have in executing the lessons. The same goes with the staff and school heads in doing their tasks. We must “keep moving” by means of updating and upgrading ourselves on education and the issues concerning education so as to ensure that we are on the right track and have a balance in providing the curriculum to our clientele-the students. Attending trainings, reading about current educational issues, visiting different websites, particularly the DepEd website, are some of the simple things that we could do to keep moving.
We’re not as genius as Einstein, but with much determination to learn, unlearn, and relearn plus dedication to do our respective jobs, we could assure the balance in education as we keep moving just like Einstein’s determination to prove all his discoveries including his famous equation- E=mc2.
Remember that in “keep moving”, we’re not only keeping our balance as workers but we are also shaping our students into globally competitive workers of the future.
