It shows that reading is important, but the question is “How do we encourage our pupils to read books? How can we lead them to read books?

Teachers are delighted when they know their students read books. Likewise, students are also inspired when they see their teachers bring a book, read a book and borrow a book from the library. These acts are more than enough to encourage students to love books and adore reading.

Here are some tips on how to lead your students to read books.

  1. Make reading a part of your classroom task.
  2. Create a reading corner in your classroom.
  3. Encourage your students to have a reading diary
  4. Give compliment to your students after reading
