LIS – What is it? Advantage or Disadvantage ? As a term referred “Learners Information System” a system for maintaining the registry aimed at meeting the following objectives:
- Track learners progress/performance
- Provide learner information for better program planning and supervision of school and learning centers
- Enhance management of learners records
- Facilitate the incorporation of the LRN ( Learners Reference Number ) in all record which refer to the learner
- Generate summary of reports which included the age profile and total enrolment
- Is the system accessible at all times?
- Is the system accurate in saving files?
- Who’s to blame the one who encodes or the system errors?
- What is the appropriate time duration in encoding data esp. for elementary and grade 7 teachers?
From the objectives above, it really emphasized what advantages it has given to the respective school and to the teacher adviser who provides appropriate enrollees to section handled and update correct parental background and CCT ( Conditional Cash Transfer ) information of learners. What about the disadvantages?
Those are the questions that highlight some of the disadvantages depending on the how the teachers experienced it by themselves . How about you? What’s your query?
