The pandemic has been the major reason for the different changes that every country has gone through and adapted into their daily lives. One of the biggest changes that the pandemic has brought upon in the present is the different learning modalities that schools transitioned into and implemented into the curriculum in order to continue learning.

When the classes first started with the pandemic around, distance learning was first implemented. The distance learning consisted of two variations of learning: online learning and modular learning; yet, when the situation slowly got better, blended learning started to happen.

Every type of learning modalities have their own pros and cons. The online classes have the strength of having a thorough discussion with the teacher even though it is done virtually; however, its weakness is the long time students have to spend in front of the screen. Online classes are very effective when it comes to really teaching the students the topics; however, when it comes to the health of the students it brings a lot of downsides.

On the other hand, modular learning can be considered as not as effective as online learning because teachers are not thoroughly discussing the topics. Students are handed their modules every few days and they will have a deadline as to when they can submit it. Still, this kind of learning does not damage the eyes of the students.

As stated earlier, as the situation in the country continuously gets better as time passes by, some schools have started to implement face to face classes slowly. The school year 2022-2023 currently approaches and it is expected that most schools will be implementing face to face classes fully. This is a good decision so the students can learn efficiently and effectively and teachers can do their job fully as it truly is.
