Every child is unique. No two individuals are exactly the same. In actual practice, parents, educators or teachers using conventional learning theories and traditional methods of teaching tend to overlook and sometimes ignore this basic truth.

            Learning styles grim from every child’s inborn uniqueness, which must learn to recognize, acknowledge and respect. Studies reveal thet when teachers develop and expand their instructional methods and techniques according to the individual learning styles of their pupils, there is a marked raise in the performance and achievement of their student. A diminished in disciplinary problems also occurs.

            According to Dr. Rita Dunn “Students are not failing because of the curriculum. Students can learn any subject matter when they are taught with methods and approaches responsive to their learning styles strengths.”

            As a 21st century teachers we have all the opportunities to engaged our pupils into new learning styles with the help of multimedia. With multimedia, learning can happen anytime, anywhere. Students can listen to a podcast or view a pod cast at home, in the car or on a field trip. Today’s resources let you demonstrate concepts and lessons in ways that textbooks and classroom lectures alone can’t. Multimedia resources can help you meet the needs of many different types of learners Visual learners can watch an online video, while auditory learners listen to streaming audio and hands-on learners play an interactive game.

            Collaboration and Community Building like blogs, social networking sites and wikis allow students to interact with and teach each other, not only within their own school, but with learners across the country and the world as well. A Broader View of the World—Multimedia resources can help your students experience today’s global community.
