Technology now more than ever has a big influence on all living individuals, so it would be impossible to envision life as we know without it. This remark merely makes the point that despite effectively integrating itself into the vast majority, if not all, of human activities—particularly in education—technology cannot be taken for granted. The evolution of communication has been one of technology’s most significant consequences. We might thus claim that technology has “profoundly changed our society.”

Without a doubt, one area where technology has had a big influence on is education. The field of education has been said to be significantly impacted by technology. In the middle of the pandemic, it gave birth to online schooling, which is quickly becoming the norm. Additionally, it is claimed that online learning has transformed education by making possible forms of global education that were previously absurd.

Online teaching challenges the idea that education is a process requiring physical presence in a single place. Thanks to technological improvements, it is now a reality and essentially standard practice for people from all over the world who are separated by time and place to connect online, get instruction, and study. Therefore, it may be argued that online courses provide a level of flexibility that appeals to students who, for a variety of reasons, are unable to physically attend normal classes. As a result, it is not surprising that students at colleges and universities have begun to want this kind of education, which has increased in popularity.

These claims may be interpreted in one of two ways: either there is an ongoing trend toward using online education as a delivery method or there is a change in the available teaching platforms. Whatever the circumstances, the truth that online education is here to stay persists. In actuality, an increasing number of institutions are using this method of education to educate a wide range of topics. In addition to learners’ apparent desire for online learning, globalization is the primary reason behind this prevalent practice.

Online education used to be an option for those who lacked the time to attend traditional programs. But everything has altered after the terrible Covid19 pandemic emerged. Face-to-face instruction was rendered useless as circumstances changed, and online education not only became a viable alternative but the only one.

Teachers have to digitize resources and create digital content. In order to continue educating the young, teachers were under pressure to adapt to a digitally advanced environment. However, they did so without taking into account their technological proficiency, which is a requirement for being able to perform effectively as online teachers and a crucial factor integrated in the teaching and learning process.

All of these are the lessons we gained from the implementation of online teaching and we shall benefit even up to the post pandemic era in the education system.
