Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.  (1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV)

Chaotic and Turbulent! That’s how I viewed the Children’s Ministry in Churches. So when our Head Pastor asked me to help out, I was full of skepticism.  In my heart, I knew I didn’t have the energy and passion in teaching kids. It wasn’t an easy “yes” though, but I still yielded to God’s call.

Armed with nothing but only a step of faith and total surrender, the first day of our Children’s Ministry took off with ease. We found help through our fellow brethren who even gave us a demo teaching and orientation to start off. Eventually all the advices and learnings got me through with the succeeding lessons. Up to this date, ideas and creativities started pouring in and the Children’s Ministry has transformed dynamically.

The writing of Apostle Paul ministered to me during this experience. Standing firm requires a total surrender and letting God work in your midst – let nothing move you inspite of uncertainties.  Once you committed something to the Lord, fear gradually diminishes and courage slowly takes over. Your labor will definitely not be in vain.

Prayer

Lord, thank you for the guidance You provided us in this journey. You assured us that nothing will move us inspite of difficulties and uncertainties. Help us to always trust in You whatever the circumstances may be. We commit to You our ways and give You all back the glory and honor. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
