The Division of Education envisions Information and Communications Technology (ICT) as a powerful tool and an imperative medium in delivering curriculum content such as classroom instruction, distance learning, and digital education.
On a lighter note, by one means or another, the administrators and teachers were prepared in terms of utilizing technology as access to communication with others, particularly in work-related matters. Even from home, faculty members still have active participation in the delivery of the service particularly within the submission of reports and grades as a result of their Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training. In any case, a few instructors, particularly the seasoned ones, are troubled and perplexed to use gadgets. Most of them are not ready to teach about computing or utilize a computer in teaching as they have gotten their education before the surge of computers. Almost all teachers lean toward traditional teaching where they are used to teach instead of online education.
Nonetheless, there are lots of different training and webinars offered by the (DepEd) these days to equip teachers in online instruction. It is up to the person’s viewpoint if he will grasp this change or not.
