With the governance of the Basic Education act in place, School managers were better able to run their respective institutions, given the scarcity of resources with which to run them with. Through the valuable and voluminous gather during the regular PTCA meeting that the school managers continue to unearth or receive, they do not stop drawing up initiatives intended to benefit both the children and teacher with the end goal of uplifting the quality education to the Filipino Child First “ Mag-aaral Muna”
Foremost, the rationalized MOOE appropriation of the yearly funds in education is simply not
enough to have a big budget for each school. More important is how these resources can be the teachers and administrators.
Just as important, a Filipino Child First takes the lead in shaping a learning environment that enables children to learn as much as their intellectual faculties could take. Filipino Child First providing the children with a venue to become responsible for their own learning. Learning becomes a personal adventure of each child.
The parents in the home and the teachers in schools should have an empathetic understanding of one another’s work. They should work together harmoniously in uplifting the quality of education they desire for their children. The work of cooperation should begin at home. The teacher’s work should supplement that of parents but it is not to take its place. In all that concerns the well-being of the Filipino Child First, it should be the effort of parents and teachers to cooperate.
Parents have a strong influence in children’s academic motivation and achievement. Parents esteem education; the attitude generated by the parents is transmitted to their children, and this attitude strengthens the work of the school.
The attitude of ‘The Filipino Child First’ is a great national heritage. The Filipino child attitude toward learning is the key element in ‘Uplifting the Quality of Education’ we desire. Filipino children must assume responsibility for their achievement and must put themselves in control of their academic progress.
