Philippine Education is a product of long history of struggle. Up to now, Education in the Philippines
is disturbed with lots of issues and hullabaloos that sometimes make and sometimes break it.
The introduction of K-12 has been a major issue in the education department, the additional two year plan had fume and rage both affected and unaffected citizens for they considered it as a threat and not as a help. For them, the additional two years mean two more years of financial burden and prolonging the agony of waiting. Nevertheless, K-12’s intention is good, if it paved of jubilantly it will produce breed of globally competitive and humble individuals.
Another issue has to do with financial concerns. Philippines is a country that is bothered with corruption and improper distribution of funds. Some people in the department, (am not saying all), is blinded by money and dig up the budget that is supposedly for the educational resources, for the students and for the educational development. Some schools, especially in rural areas lack enough funds for establishment of school buildings and other learning facilities; some teachers due to lack of funds were not trained properly making them effective and efficient in the learning day.
