They say, if you hate the teacher, you must love the subject and if you hate the subject, try to love the teacher.  But as a teacher, you must ease the burden of the learners in learning difficult lessons or subjects and at the same time win their love and trust.

Here are some techniques in making difficult lessons an interesting and enjoyable ones.

  1. Motivate the Learners through  relaxing Activities. Start the lessons with activities or games that will make them relax, so not to think that the lesson is difficult.
  1. Do Not Threaten them with QUIZZES.  Threatening your class with quizzes after discussion will create panic and will surely distract the pupils’ concentration.
  1. Provide a friendly atmosphere. Don’t be a terror.  Let them learn because they are enjoying not because they are afraid.
  1. Make them Understand.Do not leave the lesson unless you are sure that they understand the concept.  Understanding not memorizing is the key word.

  1. Give Guide Questions. Leading questions help the pupils to fully understand the lesson, and allow them to think and reflect.

  1. Let them Ask Questions.  Allow the pupils to ask questions. This will help them clear their thoughts and verify their ideas.

  1. Think-Pair-Share.  Let the pupils learn and share ideas with their peers.  This will provide a very relaxing environment/situation where they can confidently share  what’s on their mind.

  1. Provide Activities Interesting to Them.  Use strategies and Techniques that stirs your pupils’ interests. This will keep them motivated all throughout the lesson.
