Modern technology has conquered everyone, especially in the field of education. It cannot be denied that many mathematics’ students nowadays are motivated to learn new concepts in Mathematics through visuals and images through the help of the internet.
Mathematics teachers must realize that their mathematics classroom is composed of mixed-abilities’ learners, and this must serve as an eye opener for them, realizing that teaching these kind of students will be a big challenge for them. Math teachers must find ways to control if not totally suppressed mathematics classroom challenges and problems.
The mathematics classroom must be loaded with activities that will motivate students in learning the subject. However, the teacher must consider different factors before utilizing different approaches and strategies in teaching new concepts. The teaching style of the teacher must be considered, much more the learning styles of the learners that will go hand in hand with their multiple intelligences. In this way, learning mathematics will be fun and enjoyable, eventually, no learner will be left behind.
Apparently, not only countless graphs and visuals will be encountered in math activities and also in textbooks; hence, teachers must prepare and utilize activities that will make his or her learners feel comfortable. When students are not rushed and were given enough time to learn previous and new concepts the result will be more satisfying, in this way the teachers should give them the chance to learn at their own pace.
Similarly, both the elementary and secondary mathematics level teachers may offer a technology-based classroom tools for the learners to have the chance to succeed. Brainstorming as a part of cooperative learning strategies will encourage students to work together. In this way, everyone may contribute to learn a process or new concept.
