Being a school head is God’s gift to a certain individual. Also, it is indeed a great honor and responsibility to handle a particular school composed of hardworking teachers and active learners. You are a school head to serve and not to be served. You are entrusted by the authority in the field of education to render your services for the sake of the educational clientele and for the benefit of the entire school community.
As a school leader, it is expected that you will work on for instructions and operations. In doing such you have to lead with a heart having great compassion and understanding. You should perceive all the things regarding the school with a heart filled with positivity. Thus, having great thinking and attitude will manifest goodness in your management.
In supervising your dear teachers, you have to sincerely assist them in their undertakings particularly in the education of every learner. The teacher must feel that a school head is there to serve as a guide in directing the ways and in improving the teaching-learning process. On the other hand, in dealing with the learners, the school head should be after for their holistic development. The school head must emphasize and plant in them the core values of humanity which will shape the good character in them. Consequently, the results of goodness or leading with a heart will become evident. The point is that the school manager is altruistically serving the students and directing the teachers.
The community as well comprising of the stakeholders who are connected to the school are also in the heart of the school manager. The school principal should establish a strong working relationship with them, to be in one with them in achieving the educational objectives for the sake of the students and for the improvement of the school in various aspects. The stakeholders should feel that deep concern of the school leaders in resolving various school matters which will contribute to the realization of quality education for the school community.
It is such the best way to manage an educational institution using the heart not just with your brain because with the heart combined with the brain would further feel and understand the concerns and issues which affect the entire school. Positive results will be yielded once a school leader is heartily leading.
Be a leader with a big heart for the others. For sure this will be beneficial to all most especially to the learners. Be courageous enough to face the world with your kind heart.
